This page offers a general overview of cosmetic procedures. All
procedures are performed by Board Certified Dermatologist, Babar K. Rao. For
more in-depth information on these procedures, please follow the links in

Using the most modern and state-of-the-art medical equipment, treatments,
and technologies, The Skin and Cancer Center is able provide a variety of
cosmetic procedures including

All of the listed non-surgical procedures on the right are performed on
site within our facilities.
Our non-surgical cosmetic procedures can be performed quickly and easily
with little to no down-town in our Manhattan, New York or Fresno, California
offices.
Our staff will be pleased to assist you in any way possible and all
efforts will be made to accommodate your schedule.
Before your visit, please check with your insurance company to be sure
that you have the proper documentation with you when you come such as
health insurance card, member ID number, etc.

Acne Management
If acne is having negative emotional or social impact
on your life, it is time to take control and seek effective treatment. On the
basis of examination and diagnoses, Board Certified Dermatologist, Babar K. Rao,
MD, FAAD, will prescribe the treatment most effective for your individual case.
Anti-Aging Treatments
To maintain and improve skin health, an effective
skincare regime must contain three fundamental elements -- prevention,
protection, and correction. The Skin and Cancer Center will analyze and
prescribe an effective tailored regime for you.
Botox
Botox®
wrinkle removal
is a 10-minute in-office
procedure with no downtime and patients can return to work immediately
after the injection.
Chemical Peels
A chemical
peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial
skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals
with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Board Certified
Dermatologist, Babar K. Rao, has extensive experience with chemical peels and
you will be certain to love your chemical peel outcome.
Collagen Treatments
Injectable collagen was developed for use in the treatment of certain
types of wrinkles and minor skin depressions.
The material can be used to fill acne and other scars on the face and to
fill aging wrinkles on the forehead, cheeks and lips.
Micro-Dermabrasion
Micro-Dermabrasion is effective in reducing fine lines, "crow's feet," age
spots and acne scars. It stimulates the production of skin cells and collagen.
It has proven to be a very popular nonsurgical cosmetic procedure.
Eczema
Treatments
Eczema can be treated successfully,
even if you’ve struggled with it for years. The Skin and Cancer Center offers
customized therapy to match the severity of your disease, from topical creams to
light therapy and injected medication.
Facial Fillers
Facial fillers are used to lessen the appearance of lines, wrinkles
and scars. Facial fillers include

Hair Removal
To permanently remove hair, the laser targets the pigment within
active hair follicles, destroying the follicle but leaving the surrounding
tissue undamaged.
Radiance
Radiance is presently the newest and most promising long term soft
tissue wrinkle filler, with results lasting 3 to 5 years, and no reported side
effects or allergic reactions.
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a chronic skin disease that generally appears as
patches of raised red skin covered by a flaky white buildup. Although the exact
cause is unknown, psoriasis is believed to be related to faulty signals sent by
the body's immune system. These signals accelerate the growth cycle in skin
cells, which pile up on the surface when the body can't shed them fast enough.

Skin Cancer Detection
Everyone should have a complete skin exam at least once a

be examined more frequently - every 3 to 6 months depending on one's individual
history. The Skin and Cancer Center can perform an analysis quickly for skin
cancer.
Skin Infections
The best treatment for skin infections is to
find and treat the cause. The Skin and Cancer Center will be certain to find and

Skin Resurfacing
Skin resurfacing removes areas of damaged or
wrinkled skin often caused by prolonged sun exposure. Skin resurfacing can
minimize the appearance of fine lines around the mouth and the eyes and is also
effective in treating facial scars and skin areas with uneven pigmentation.
